Does not work for the OEM sender unit on a 1993 4.0l Wrangler YJ without modifying the sender. The difference between this and OEM is that the intake is offset from the center and has a clip-on filter, while the OEM unit has its intake in the center, is held in place with a rubber gasket, and has a small hose extention that connects to the filter. The rubber gasket that holds the OEM intake in place will block the intake on this unit. I cut the gasket (and a portion of it’s retaining rod) off, and mounted this unit to that rod at a height similar to the old sender unit.The unit itself is great. The compatibility with my Jeep was so-so.
